Orquesta Sabor Del Caribe

Thank you for you interest and support of our orchestra. We have developed this website for information about our band and for your enjoyment. Thank you again, for supporting our music.

The idea of Orquesta Sabor Del Caribe comes about when José Labiosa and Gloria Vélez decide to form a professional Latin orchestra. They recruited the services of Phd. in music Dr. Glenn Garrido to help them structure the Band. They set out to recruit local talent and have been able to put together a fantastic group of musicians.

Formed in October, 2006 in Columbus, Georgia.  Led by Bronx-born conga player José Labiosa and Puerto Rico-born Singer Gloria Vélez, This ten (10) piece orchestra, composed of musicians from Puerto Rico, Panamá, Mexico, Venezuela, and the United States, performs Latin American rhythms such as Latin jazz, salsa, merengue, bachata, bolero, paso doble, cumbia, and samba. 

The purpose and goal of the band is to provide the best quality music to the general public for their listening pleasure and dancing enjoyment.
